Interstate 95 on AIA North at mid-island & AIA South on the south end.

 

The island sits at an average elevation of 20 feet above mean sea level and contains a land mass of approximately 18 square miles. 

 

Approximately 13 miles of public beaches lie easterly while

riverfront and marshlands hug the western coast.  At 1/4-to-2 miles  wide, it is easily navigable by foot, bicycle or auto.
